Awesome Mark!! 😃
Bruh these camera views are ass!!!!! 🥴🥴🥴
Thanks for the training. 👍
20 years ago we hauled tarped lumber out of Dryden, ear falls, blue lake , Winnipeg , delivered all over the Us. We hauled tarped white pine, tarped mahogany from port of Baltimore to Marvin windows in Warroad mn .
Buy black tarps, soak up sun when it’s 40 below.
Taping no big deal. At 85 years I turned west Fargo yesterday with a conastoga. Wagon, racks out, tractor bodies and parts back to Grand Rapids MN
haw haw
Thank you for your support to know more about the product
I’m assuming there is a very particular way of folding your tarps after use? So that when you use them again, they come undone perfectly.
Hi Mark, my brother and I participated in this Wreaths Across America video. At the time, someone interviewed my Uncle Jim. He was 88 and had his Seabees hat on and was interviewed beside his brother's grave. I've never seen it posted or on the Prime Inc video. Did you film that? Do you know who else might have it?
Great job 👍💪🏼✌️🛣️
Tarping sucks butt
Is there any difference when parking? So far i only learned how to park with spread axles.
Not sure if this is authentic 67 rack pack or not. I wouldn't buy it without authentication.
Awesome opening, bit of a ride to hosetown.
Lets do the tarping in the santa anna winds in California. That when i gave up 8 foot tarps when i watched mine rolling across the desert ..
They did not do it in 1967
One must do surgery, literally!😮 Love The Missouri Ozarks......Hey, they also called Cardinals Catcher, Tom Pagnozzi, "Pags".....
Its fucking ridiculous how these states are different from the rest of America. Who the fuck they think they are?
Very nice i love it but i have a question what you when the load hangs out from the trailer ether sideways or to the back hang
Just watching this, awesome video! I’m about to get into the step deck with MERCER and I’m trying to get enough experience by watching videos.
How's it been over at Mercer? Thinking of going there myself
@@codysimonson6260 it’s been great , better than the previous company I was leased on to. My monthly payment to them is 1200 a month that includes insurance too
in WI ? are you sure ? never heard of that
Yup this was new to me too but I had to do it today.
I wanted to do flatbed at first, but climbing up on top of the load to tarp is what made me decide not to. Going to do tanker now.
OK I am a flat bed driver 13 years a few things I see wrong your folding the rear flap incorrectly it should be under the sides for aerodynamic they even did a cut jump with it correct but didn't take the screw up out and also you NEVER face the hooks on bungies outward it will rub holes in tarp you always hook them away from the tarp look at the flap job on rear at first this is supposed to be educational COME ON PRIME TEACH THEM CORRECTLY DO BETTER !!!!!!!!
what are you talking about. The tarp is folded correctly and aerodynamic. Are you looking at the wrong end? The bungies are facing outward as well as you dont want holes in the tarps or freight. SMH
I want to see some tricks on how to tarp up a load like this during 40mph winds. That must really separate the men from the boys.
It takes teamwork. I've had to do it many times in Fletcher, OK. All the drivers have to work together to get it done.
Almost made me quit😂
I assume you’ve figured it out, but in case you haven’t: Throw straps over your load and don’t tighten them down all the way. You want about 10 inches of play in the strap. (you can use for securement or just so you can get the tarps on in the wind). Roll your tarp out underneath the straps. Get down and tighten the winches so you have 5-6 inches of play. Back on top of the load, let your tarp sides down. Climb down and bungee as normal. The wind may flap the tarp, but it can’t blow it off because the straps aren’t letting it create enough lift. Remove straps or (since the wind is obviously problematic) tighten them for extra securement. Wyoming 60mph wind approved.
@@M21assult OMG Thank you!!!! I would have never thought of that technique in a million years. That totally makes sense though!!!!! This advice is solid gold.
Beautiful
Background music for what?
When the access are together how do you slide the rear one back?
Same process. Truck brake applied. Trailer brake released, providing air to the Trailer. Go to the box and turn the valve to the unlocked position and release the pins and lock the axle. (If you have a stepdeck you will need to turn the second valve to raise the rear of the trailer for wheel clearance.) Then reverse until you feel resistance from the locked axle. Set your truck brake. Go to the box and turn the valve to the locked position. If your pins aren't fully locked then give the trailer a gentle rock back and forth and check to confirm they aren't stuck. Check both sides for safety.
Unfortunately I will have to do this working for Western Express. Not looking forward to all this for $25. I might consider team driving just because of this aspect.
I guess the hardest part is getting yourself and the tarp up there
Didn’t even think about that..
Um they didn't use that type of plastic in those days. It should have been cellophane. And the tag was obviously new. Luckily you didn't get ripped off for much.
It’s not hard I just hate getting on top of loads
Why not spend the extra 1/2 a second and hook the straps properly instead of to the rub rail? Not only does this leave the straps unprotected but it also reduces the working load limit of the strap, which is 5,400 lbs because it’s now hooked to a 2,000 lbs WLL light-duty aluminum rub rail.
What do you mean? I'm new at this. What do you mean by "properly"?
The rubrail is rated at 6600 on primes flatbeds which are reitnouers.
@@r0ckworthyit is proper. This guy doesnt know what he is talking about. Careful who you listen to out here
The rubrail has a working load limit of 6600 pounds. You can find this information under the rubrail of the trailer along with the working load limit of the tie downs and chain up techniques
You are tarping in a nice climate controlled environment and your tarp looks very clean I'm willing to venture out and say you're not your tarp is going to be filthy ass dirty and your bungees may even become tangled. My last question is how do you get the tarp on top of that load did you do it yourself or was it put up there by a machine. Nice video though
Hello bro , do you do flatbed trucking? If yes then let me know....so that we have healthy conversation about it 🙂
that's a lot of work for a little pay
What a huge waste of time. Just use a curtainside trailer if possible.
Safety glasses should be worn when using bungee cords. Those hooks will take an eye out when the cord snaps. They can also take a tooth. I had a face shield on my safety helmet. Hot and not comfortable but l like to chew my food.
Shippers should have to protect their own loads
come on man a child can tarp a perfectly square load.......daaaaaaaaa these videos are by newbies obv
Are you related to fogle from the movie super bad? If so im gonna book now
BEAUTIFUL, STRONG, POWERFUL MAJESTIC. ONLY GOD COULD MAKE SUCH PERFECTION.
Fuck. Where I work we can’t stand on the truck not even to tarp up. It’s a nightmare
Some places have safety harnesses. Damn good idea. Drivers have died coming off loads.
I don't think I could handle the winter in flatbed.
It is hard sure enough. Good clothing and the correct gloves help. Finding a windbreak helps enormously. Several times I team tarped with other trucks on site in order to do that, even trucks from other companies. We used to be a mutual aid society.
I was going for a job as a yard spotter. Then they told me I would be tarping all the loads also. For $21 an hour. No thanks.
Not worth it
